Hey everyone, Ash here, and today Anthony and I rope dropped Ross Park Mall! For those of you that don't know, a pop-up Disney store was put into one of our local malls, taking me back in time. Oh how I've missed Disney stores, and I'm so thankful that one has finally come back, even if it is only until January (Please keep it longer, I promise I'll come back!).

The Store

Okay, so it really wasn't a rope drop, but it sure felt like it! We got to the mall at 07:45, and quickly jumped in line. It was so cool to see so many people in all their Disney gear standing outside in the cold, raining, Pittsburgh spring, all of us hoping to get into the store and check things out. We made friends with so many people, everyone sharing stories of their Disney adventures, their likes and their dislikes, but ultimately, it was so wonderful to simply be around so many other Disney enthusiasts.

We were granted entry into the mall forty-five minutes before anything officially opened, and were given wristbands to ensure our entry. The last forty-five minutes were full of anticipation as hundreds more packed in, the local news and other youtubers captured our excited gazes, and the store cast members greeted us with give aways!

What made me so happy was that they opened the store with the key, just like before! It was so cute to see two little princesses use their magic to open up this store! Roughly twenty minutes later, Anthony and I made our way in, and beelined to the Pittsburgh Disney shirts. They're so cute!

The store itself was a little small, and I wish there was a screen showing old Mickey cartoons. Beyond the shirts, there were a ton of other good things, but I kept myself from splurging. We literally just bought the house and we're about to be in Disney in eight days. Need to stay disciplined Ashley!

Okay, I lost that battle. I stopped in my tracks and gasped when I saw the Shanghai Snow White behind the counter. I NEVER THOUGHT I'D SEE ONE IN THE STATES! There is only 3500 available, and here they are, two of them behind the counter in Pittsburgh, PA. I can't tell you how bad I've wanted this. Once the Disney room is built in our new house you will see all eight of my dolls, this one included. I'll admit it, I teared up standing in line I was so happy. I had to have it. So between the shirts and the doll, two-hundred and fifty spent, well in my opinion, well spent.

The Experience

After we left the store we heard that the virtual queue was filled out for the day, and they were already letting people book their visits into tomorrow - I feel so lucky. Anthony got a new laptop, but as we waited for it to be ready we walked through the mall, and I proudly displayed my doll. It was truly a Disney experience. People walking by in their DVC shirts, or other cool gear. We were stopped and talked to so many nice people that have traveled from so far away to come to this store opening! A lovely couple that were in their seventies stopped us to talk Disney, and they bragged about all their Star Wars memorabilia, told us stories of all the cruises they had been on, it was so lovely. Honestly, I was so pleased to have been around so many great people, and that's what I love about the Disney experience. We all got to celebrate today. Maybe it's the coming home of the pre-covid stores, or simply Disney friends coming out of the woodwork in my hometown. God I can't wait for our trip in a few days.

Itinerary to follow, along with all our posts, and as a bonus, word on the street is that Anthony's sister, Sam, is going to be joining us as another blogger! She wrote up everything about her trip down the Beach Club earlier this week, and I can't wait to hear from a true Disney Mom. Love ya all~ - Ash
